| Malibu® Mosquito Inhibitors block mosquitoes so that people can retake control of their yards and enjoy the outdoors day or night without the fear of being eaten alive.
When humans and animals exhale, they give off CO2 (carbon dioxide) and Octenol (an alcohol). Mosquitoes have sensors that can detect the presence of these two chemicals at a distance of almost 100 feet. Once the mosquito picks up the scent, they will immediately change direction and fly rapidly toward the intended victim.Until now, the only solution was to apply a foul smelling, greasy repellent or light smoky candles.
Malibu® Mosquito Inhibitor is not a repellent, but an inhibitor that blocks the keenest sense mosquitoes have, their sense of smell. Mosquitoes avoid the foul smell of Citronella and DEET, but home in on your scent. Malibu® Mosquito Inhibitor does what repellents can't... it blocks the mosquito's ability to track your scent. Malibu® Mosquito Inhibitor uses the patented chemical Linalool, that was developed in cooperation with the USDA, was found to be twice as effective as DEET and many times better than Citronella oil at preventing mosquitoes from homing in on human scent. |
